James Hands to succeed Greg Collins as CEO of Miller
Greg will move to become Chair of the Partnership Board, succeeding Graham Clarke who will retire. The changes will take place on 1 January 2023, enabling preparations for a smooth transition of responsibilities at that time. Leading up to then James will become CEO Designate.
James is currently Joint Head of Special Risks for Miller and a member of the Group Executive Committee. In addition, James is also the Executive Sponsor of Miller's Pride Alliance, whose goal is to ensure LGBTQ+ inclusion across the company. James joined Miller from Aon in 2015 where he was Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Continued expansion with recent Miller acquisitions
Henner Sports
Back in March, Miller announced the acquisition of Henner Sports from the Henner Group. Founded in 2000, Henner Sports is a leading French (re)insurance broker specialising in the sports sector. Today, it has a multi-lingual team of 14 employees based in Paris. Henner Sports’ client base is focused on high-profile professional athletes and sports organisations, with clients including the French national basketball team and the majority of the French international football players. In addition to its highly regarded football offering, Henner Sports acts for clients across a range of other sports such as cycling and rugby. Products include insurance for individuals, clubs, and federations.
Lead Insurance Services
In July, Miller announced the acquisition of Lead Insurance Services Limited (‘Lead’). Lead is based in Tokyo, Japan, and the acquisition cements a longstanding relationship between the two businesses.
Founded in 1994, Lead specialises in Hull, War Risks and Protection & Indemnity insurance, offering a highly complementary service to Miller’s current marine capabilities. Lead has a strong client base and has been working alongside Miller for a quarter of a century.
