New Bloodstock, Livestock and Aquaculture team
This month we welcome Archie Horne and his team to bring Bloodstock, Livestock and Aquaculture specialist expertise to Miller.
Archie joins from Willis Towers Watson, where he held the same position for over six years, and brings expert knowledge and technical expertise to this highly specialised line of business. He is joined by three highly experienced colleagues: Florence Crowhurst, who has worked in the bloodstock and livestock industries in the UK, France and Argentina; Harry Findlay, who ran a dairy farm in Scotland; and Ben Roe, who has dedicated market experience.
The team will bring their collective experience to develop, manage and produce a comprehensive range of products to support the insurance needs of livestock producers and owners across the globe. In addition to focusing on traditional livestock producers, the team will target exotic animal owners, such as aquariums, game parks and zoos, where it has significant expertise.
New Media, TV and Film team
In June 2022, Miller appointed Susana Bramwell to lead our development into Media, TV and Film as a further expansion of our market-leading Sports & Entertainment business.
A sector expert with a well-established track record, Susana brings over 30 years’ experience in the Media and Entertainment business. Joining from Marsh, she was Head of Media & Entertainment for seven years, leading its London-based team. Prior to this, Susana co-founded O’Neill and Bramwell, an insurance broker specialising in the advertising, production and event industries, which she co-managed for over 10 years before continuing on as Director of Media & Entertainment upon the company’s sale to Oval Insurance.
Susana is joined by two further colleagues with a combined 25 years’ media and entertainment insurance experience, including the commercial production industry and large advertising agencies.

Renewable Energy and Infrastructure team growth
In April 2022 we welcomed Hayley Malin as Head of Infrastructure and Laura Gil Ramirez as Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology (REET) Account Executive.
With 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including ten years specialising in the renewable energy sector, Hayley joins from RKH Speciality. Over the course of her career, she has also held positions at Willis and A J Gallagher. Alongside her infrastructure team responsibility, she will also take a dual role deploying her renewable energy expertise across Miller’s infrastructure and REET client base.
Laura joins Miller from Marsh where she was a Client Executive in their Renewable Energy team for five years covering advisory, construction and operational risks for a variety of renewable clients. Laura was also at GCube, the specialist renewable energy insurer prior to Marsh and has previous experience in financial services compliance and a legal background, bringing a wealth of experience to the REET team.

New Head of Delegated Authorities
Also in April 2022, Miller appointed Chris Hardcastle as Head of Delegated Authorities. With almost 30 years’ experience working in delegated authority business, Chris joins from Alesco Risk Management, where he held the role of Managing Director of Delegated Authority for 10 years. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Delegated Authority at Capsicum, now Gallagher Re. Chris has also held positions at Tysers and Aon over the course of his career.
Chris’ appointment will add to Miller’s strong existing presence in the delegated authority space as the business looks to broaden its product offering and jurisdictional capabilities.

Industry veteran joins Sports & Entertainment team
Joining Miller’s Sports & Entertainment team in April 2022, James Martin marks our continued investment in our specialist motorsport offering. With over 30 years’ experience in the motorsports insurance industry, James joins Miller from James Hallam and will work closely with Tim Nagle, who leads Miller’s motorsports offering.
James’ specialist skills include on track physical damage, liability and personal accident protection for team owners, sponsors and drivers. His extensive experience will complement Miller’s motorsport clients, who together have achieved over 800 F1 starts and more than 100 race wins.
New Cargo team in Marseille
As the growing complexity of modern supply chains increases, Miller announced the launch of a new France-based Cargo team back in March. This expands our Cargo capabilities across Europe in a fully integrated offering, combined with greater local knowledge that enables brokers to access the broadest range of both London and international markets.
Based in Marseille and formerly part of Forsea’s, a Swiss broker company created by Nicolas Juge in 2010, the new team will work closely with colleagues across London, Geneva, Paris and Brussels. Nicolas, who brings 30 years of shipping and marine experience, is appointed Head of Cargo, France, alongside Gaëlle Besnardeau as Account Executive, Murielle Ducamp as Claims Executive, and Melissa Oddoze as Account Handler.
