Alex Cappuccio Cyber
Alex has recently joined Miller’s Cyber team as a Cyber Security broker. His role will be focused on placing North American and international business.
Before joining Miller in August 2021, Alex previously worked for an independent broker placing and managing E&O, Cyber and D&O insurance programmes for UK professional services firms.
In his spare time, Alex is a keen rugby player and golfer.
Rory Miller Energy Liability
Rory has joined Miller’s Energy Liability Team as an Account Handler.
He will be working closely with the team and their intermediaries on North American business, covering various locations but mainly the Gulf of Mexico.
This is Rory’s first role in Insurance. He has a Bachelors degree from the Henley Business School, University of Reading in International Business with Management. On top of this, Rory holds an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management.
Steve Downing Construction
Steve has joined the International Construction team as an Account Executive, his main responsibilities are client management, as well as negotiating and placing business into both London and international markets.
With over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Steve has extensive experience in International Construction, spanning all aspects of Construction insurance including, Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), Third Party Liability (TPL), Builders Risk, Course of Construction, Delay in Start Up. Steve’s primary geographical focus is North America and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), he has many years of experience in these territories.
Steve has worked on many types of construction risks, preferring not to limit himself to an industry focus his experience has great value across all industries and projects, including, power and energy projects, office tower blocks, smelters, tunnel projects and many more.
He holds a Diploma from the Charted Insurance Institute.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys being outdoors, walking, swimming and cycling. He also enjoys cooking!
Ted Pye Energy Liability
Ted has joined the Energy Liability team, where he will be undertaking client facing activities, as well as negotiating and placing business into both London and international markets.
With over 6 years’ experience in the insurance industry, he has a strong knowledge of the liability class, and over the years has built great relationships with the London Marine & Energy Liability markets. Ted is also a specialist in primary and umbrella General Liability coverages.
The majority of Ted’s experience has been working with clients domiciled in the US and Canada; however, he has also worked with a wide range of clients based in Europe, South America, Australasia, and the UK.
He holds a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Ted enjoys playing the guitar/singing and performing at the occasional gig. He also takes part in different sports, such as badminton and golf.
Billy Spencer Marine
Billy has recently joined Miller’s Marine War team as an Account Handler, where his main responsibilities include renewals, endorsements and day to day management of insureds.
Billy’s main areas of expertise is in North American Property, with over 2 years’ experience in this area, he has dealt with various lineslips.
In his spare time, Billy enjoys playing and watching football.
Ellie Fyfe Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology
Ellie has joined the Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology team, where her main responsibilities are liaising with clients and negotiating and placing renewable energy and environmental technology risks.
With over 17 years’ experience in the insurance industry, she has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically with primarily renewable energy project portfolios.
Ellie holds a Certificate in Insurance from the Charted Institute of Insurance.
In her spare time, Ellie enjoys anything creative, including painting, sewing and tie-dye.
Lisa Bury DAPR
Lisa has recently joined the Delegated Authorities team, her main responsibilities include working closely and liaising with clients on a day-to-day basis, as well as business development.
With over 14 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Lisa specialises in property and casualty and more specifically binding authority business. Lisa has extensive experience within Canada; having lived in Vancouver and previously working at a Canadian MGA, she has a great depth of understanding of the territory.
Lisa holds a BSc from the University of Bath, in International Management and French. She also has the Charted Institute of Insurance Diploma.
In her spare time, Lisa is a keen horse rider.
Jamie Underwood DAPR
Jamie has recently joined Miller to lead our International PI Wholesale team and is responsible for expanding the international book whilst negotiating and placing contracts with both London and international insurance and reinsurance markets.
Jamie has extensive knowledge in placing Professional Indemnity (PI) on a worldwide basis, along with expertise in the Financial Institutions (FI), Directors & Officers (D&0) and Cyber (CY) markets. He began his career at a Lloyd's broker in 2006 where he was an Associate Director, before moving to another broker in 2016 in the role of Divisional Director.
Jamie has a huge passion for golf and whenever there is chance to mix business and pleasure on the golf course, he jumps at it.
