Josh Autie Energy Onshore joined from Besso
Josh has recently joined the energy onshore team as an Account Handler, where his role will be focused around the North American mid and downstream energy business.
With 8 years’ insurance experience, Josh has gained knowledge in other types of insurance including, liability, product recall, terrorism and environmental impairment liability.
Josh holds a BSc in Geography from the University College London. In his spare time, Josh enjoys watching rugby and boxing, as well as sea and fly fishing.
Pascal Calmels Property & Mining joined from WTW
Pascal has joined the Property team as an Account Executive, he will be working predominantly on Mining business, where he will be focusing on the traditional territories where Mining extraction is a prime industry, such as Australia, SA and Latin America.
With 20 years’ experience, Pascal has a wealth of insurance knowledge, specifically in Downstream business across Asia Pac, including Mining, Power Gen, as well as onshore Oil & Gas.
Pascal holds an MA in Economics.
Katy Dowsing Terrorism joined from WTW
Katy works within Miller’s terrorism team and is responsible for all aspects of account handling for worldwide terrorism and political violence cover.
Katy has a lot of experience working with binding authorities and facilities and has built great market relationships following her time at WTW.
Katy holds a Certificate of Insurance from the Charted Insurance Institute and is working towards further qualifications.
Scott Gledhill North American D&O, Financial Institutions joined from WTW
Scott has recently joined Miller as an Account Handler, he is a directors’ and officers’ (D&O) liability specialist with a focus on North American listed or domiciled entities. His main responsibility is to provide access to the London Market with specialist advice for clients across North America.
Scott joins Miller from WTW. He has over 9 years’ experience in providing liability and financial lines solutions.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding!
Kate Levett Head of Market Management joined from Howden
Kate joins Miller in a new role as Head of Market Management, where she will lead the development and coordination of relationships with Miller’s carrier partners. This will include deepening and broadening client access to products and services, as well as driving better outcomes through Miller’s investment in data and analytics.
She joins from HX Markets, part of Howden Group, where she most recently served as Associate Director and was responsible for the development and execution of the strategy to grow strategic insurer relationships. She began her career at Zurich Insurance.
Miller’s new Market Management function will strengthen existing market relationships, facilitate introductions to new markets and leverage the wider corporate relationship. By aligning appetites, we can maximise all possible opportunities to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
Samuel Jobling Cyber, Tech & Media joined from Marsh
Sam has recently joined Miller’s specialist Cyber Risks team as an account handler and broker.
He previously worked at Marsh for a number of years where he focused on wholesale generated business.
Sam holds strong relationships with key underwriters from across the cyber insurance market including those writing international business, which helps the team obtain optimum terms for Miller’s clients.
He has a Certificate in Insurance (CII) as well as a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Birmingham. Outside of work, Sam likes to play football, golf and squash.
Ellie Gidden Cyber, Tech & Media joined from Munich Re Syndicate
Ellie recently joined Miller as an account handler and broker, she specialises in cyber risks. She has worked as a cyber underwriter for a number of years in various syndicates. Her main areas of expertise include open market risks across a broad spectrum of industries and territories, largely US business.
Her underwriter knowledge and experience of both soft and hard markets gives her with a well-rounded perspective of the market, insurer appetite and crucially how best to present risks to insurers.
Ellie has a Diploma in Insurance (CII) and in her spare time she enjoys exploring new places and skiing.
Charlotte Grier Marine Liability
Charlotte recently joined Miller as an Account Handler in the Marine Liability Team, where she will be responsible for all aspects of account handling.
As a recent graduate from The University of Edinburgh, this is Charlotte’s first role in the insurance industry.
She holds a Master of Arts with Honours in Classics. In her spare time she plays competitive netball.
